I think these shocks look awesome aesthetically and design.

And for those complaining about price the Kyosho BB's are $83 a pair on Amain. When compared to the price of the V2's, these shocks have an aluminum cap and an aluminum o-ring cap along with several off-set spring cups!

Price seems reasonable to me! I just hope it all gets put into a kit so that for a little extra money you get a whole car!
Most have gotten the Kyosho's from $116-$130 shipped. That price is almost the cost of the Team C car that comes with BB already.

They said they still hadn't recieved the production stuff at Nats....Hence, had to run Kyosho springs and still were running prototype shock bodies.

Team C shocks are a JOKE! The build quality on them isn't very good (i.e. the fitment of their little o-ring hat bushings are sloppy). And if I remember correctly it looked like the tried to copy the hat bushing concept but failed by only putting the hat bushing on one side of the o-rings...So it makes think that Team C didn't understand the concept behind that.

However, if you want a car on a bugdet sure its fine...but the 2wd class has a lot more manufacturers making cars now so companies got to kick it a nickle and raise the bar to be out front!

Nope! The caps are aluminum! And the o-ring cap is also now aluminum.

No longer the case with the new Big Bores that come with the RB6. Aluminum cap already there.

Look around besides A Main Hobbies, A full set of Kyosho BB's can be had for $109.00 If you know where to look. Plus I personally hate A Main with a passion.

I am in no way putting down AE. I run exclusively AE vehicles, But this shock business has been aweful for them. Even top team drivers are running Kyosho Springs at least. That would be very wise for AE to do (and Bundle Kyosho springs in the kits). A lot of racers at my local track have already gone to Kyosho BB's on their biggies and trucks, so when the AE's come out, I'm sure I'll be able to get a killer deal on very good proven shocks on the cheap.

Not saying they are better but the looks of the new AE BB seem to be just like a V2 just Big bore.
They are. Which in some ways is good. That means shock shafts don't change, ends don't change, and you can still make them even better with the clear low friction Kyosho O-Rings. Made my V2's butter smooth compaired to the junk O-Rings AE ships stock, and no leaking on top of it. Love the cars, hate the shocks.

I would presume the Kyosho shocks you buy for $109 (after looking for some website under a rock) do not come with the aluminum caps, and the new BB's are a $102 from Amain Hobbies Readily available!

After having seen the new shock get assembled and feeling it at the surf city they feel incredible!

And the bleed screws are in NO way hard to assemble! If you nit-pick about something like that then maybe racing is a little too much for ya!

The two best replies of this whole thread!

You will use the stock bushings. For the front tower, you can space the bushing out 2mm instead of grinding the tower.

Oh and to whoever mentioned the shafts, they are different.
