I loosened it to the point where the front lifts a few inches (3-4 maybe) when holding the rear wheels and hitting full throttle but if I put it on the carpet and gun it it will do a back flip (obviously not holding it).

Should I loosen this more?
Are you racing on carpet? If you are then I would loosen it to the point that it if you gun it you'll wheelie but not loose control.

Well not until late October. Right now I'm on an outdoor dirt track. The way I set my slipper in my SCT is for a few (2-4) feet if slip on the carpet in my basement. But it is much heavier.

It's been like 20 years since I setup a buggy.

I would leave it then. You want the front to come up about 3 inches when holding the wheels.

These pics of Maifield & Denny's cars from the Hotrod Shootout don't look like mangled shock towers either

Maifield's front tower is slightly shaved on the inside...or at least that's what it looks like to me.

Yeah that inside lower portion is definitely modified. You'd think they'd release the BB's with the new correct needed shock towers

It should work fine. I have one in my SCT and was using it with the BH 120a before I switched to Viper. Only issue I had was when I went to the LT4 and the BEC went after 60 seconds of running, never a glitch with the original 120a.

I wanted to at least honor is roots! jk. Th pivot balls are in the mail from hong Kong. It took longer to find the parts than it did to build. Europe, Australia, china......etc. it was fun though. Thanks for the compliments. It is still completely race ready, I didn't change or sacrafice any geometry or structural integrity to look good. My 4x4 is next.

One of my friends I use to race with did all his stuff purple. Just take all the aluminum and send it to an anodizing shop. Way easier faster and cheaper.
