ESC hottest point i could find : 120

Motor at its hottest point : 150

Lipo : 80

Here is my question, is this acceptable/where i need to be? or should i play with the gearing some and if so which direction should i be going? Im pretty sure temps are going to change at the track but as a quick feeler this is what i got.

Also i did notice it was clicking somewhat loudly when turning and on power. Similar to what my 2wd sc10 did until shimmed the diff. Is this what is needed here also or are there other things i should check first?

Thanks!
The noise could be clicker or belt skipping. Grass and street is way more traction than the track. Your temps seem gine to me. Have a 12t handy just in case

Drive it first and check temps, you should be correct where your at. You will run cooler on dirt than on grass. Your esc temp will probably come down and your motor temp is cool for 10 min.

Takes 5 min to change pinion so you can change at the track if needed but I don't think you will.

Were there any travel limiting clips on the shock shafts?

I do believe so, looks to have 4 clips on the front a 3 on the rear. I checked the a arm to output clearance and it has plenty. also noticed it has rpm a arms

It will be the cva contacting the inside wall of the outdrive. Just take a peak at that to make sure, I needed 5 & 4 if I gave it a he-man squeeze like the pressure that it would see landing on one corner.

ahh gotcha.. with it as compressed as i could with my hands there still seems to be a 8th to a 16th of an inch clearance

Default ride height question...

I've been checking out different setup sheets & noticed most of them say their ride height is 23mm, I can't seem to get lower than 26-27mm...

I need help please? thanks in advance...Jeff

Yes and No LOL.

I based it off Maifield's setup with a little extra rear camber and different ballast weight since I run the Exotek. It's amazing how much better and easier it is to drive AND driver mod helped a lot too. Glad I didn't give up on this truck. Also played with Dual rate/EPA/Expo settings on the M11x, now I don't oversteer.

I can now go FULL THROTTLE on the long sweeper into the straight and it is F'N AWESOME! Then you have to Brake HARD (so much so that the rear tires come up) and 180 into the Table Tops. So much fun!!

I had to change a lot of things from my outdoor setup but it is all good. I think this will actually help my outdoor setup now because it is setup for a medium grip/dusty surface.
Now the only thing I need is more BarCodes and more track time. Learning the right line and staying in the lane was HUGE.

As stated, where are you taking your measurements? You need to check on the chassis behind the front skid plate and in front of the rear skid plate. Make sure you are on the flat part of the chassis. Also make sure to adjust your shock collars to compensate for the ride height. Once I lowered mine to 23mm I noticed much better handling.

Hope this helps..

measuring the height right in front of the skid plate, & under front shock tower springs are adjusted all the wa up, same oil, spring, piston...
it could be just the "ballast"...
