RC10B4.1 FT/WC
If its just fun and something you'd like to do, it is a hobby so go for it. I'd suggest using wheels with out tires because the rubber and inserts may effect results.
Not to sound like a dick but it's pretty much a complete waste of time for offroad. Use some weight to the receiver to offset the esc. Thats it. The rest is for tuning. Too many other variables in offroad to worry about a perfectly balanced/coss weighted car. Even the best in the business dont do it.

nothing wrong with balancing the car left to right. front to rear is more of a tuning thing. weight in different spots can calm the car down and make it easier to drive or more aggressive. but you dont need a scale for that. you can start off with the standard weight. ballast behind the tower, 1/4 oz in each rear triangle and 1/2oz next to the receiver. If you need more steering some as 1/2-1oz in front of the servo.
Can my B4.1 wing be painted yellow to match my wheels?

This will let you know if more weight is being put on one side or the other (left/right) as well as ensuring you have your desired ride height front to back. As a result of doing this your spring collars will likely not be symmetrical because the weight in the car is not distributed symmetrically.
This method is really the same as doing corner weight for our cars since we do not have the ability to adjust ride height independent of spring pre-load. On real cars with more sophisticated coilovers this isn't an issue.
Avid bellcrank, avid springs (will need traxxas collars and losi end cups), avid triad clutch setup....... For setups look up Ryan Cav's setup on AE's website..............
AVID also makes shock collars and spring cups. OR can wait till AE releases there springs and bigbore stuff.
