SC10 Thread Part 2

I am sure it is. I cant imagine the body twisting all around would be helpful. helps to keep you body from rubbing on the wheels a little. I dont personally run one and probably wont just yet. I need to work out so many other things first.
Are you guys running 3deg inside and zero deg outside on toe in? I see all the setup sheets are 3/0, but I though many of the non pro drivers used .5 hubs to gain rear traction.

Yes on the shock tower...keep the a block on the truck. What's so confusing about the tires? That track was very loose and didn't have alot of bite. The double dees on the front take the twitchy ness out of the truck.

just looking at the track if i was there i think i may run stiff suspension due to the fact that the traction should b very high and i dont think i see any rutted sections where the truck have to soak up rutts. so i would just throw on a high bite setup on it and tweek from there man but first get the right tires anc compoound and you should b good to go

ok, I was using the search function, had to state that, but i didnt see "how" to drill the 4th hole. Can I user an old tower and offset it and bolt it on then drill the hole using the old tower as a template? Also, most o the setups seem to be for med to high bite, I run on low to medium. is the 4th hole even required? Same with C hubs. I run A hubs on my b4 and they work well on my local track. So would I stick with A on the truck? I am not a fan of the shaved brace, they brake non stop. I know strc makes an alum one.
Maifields setup from last years nationals looks like it might be a winner for my local outdoor track. His tire choice confuses me though.

On the 4th hole, yes, big difference. Yes, you can bolt 2 towers together and do it that way. Prob the easiest to do accurately.
Otherwise, use a pair of drafting calipers, compass or just vernier calipers and measure the distance between centers of the holes. Basically, you drill your pilot hole at the very end of the mold-line that is on the shock tower; inline with the existing holes, you'll see where the molding line ends.
I don't think that the C block roll centers are necessary at all, nor have I seen that used on Maifields truck; nor do the JC team guys (Jason/PW) run it

ok, cool deal. I have extra towers and will bolt them , then drill the hole. I am terrible at measuring hole centers.
I figured as much on the setup. cav pretty much used the same setup as maifield did last year at nats. with only a couple changes.
I see people making the 3oz weight and wraping it in foam. looks pretty trick. Any idea what foam they are using?
maybe use a couple of these?

This is an onboard cam of me driving in Merchtem, another astro track

For now I just reduced the antisquat, put the lipo forward, decreased the ride height, and set a lower rebound for the shocks. I could have mounted a sway bar in the rear too but for now I keep it this way. I'll use a 8.5 motor with slight drag brake, it helps on high grip tracks. Any other advice is welcome
