SC10 4x4 Thread
lower the cutoff but not more than .2. You want to have some buffer for the current that 4 pole will pull. Motor temps should be 160 or below. If you are blinky then you probably need to play with your gearing. you could drop to 11 and try 12,13,14,15 and check temps. Then use the pinion that gives you under 160 degrees.
Thought you were referring to Scotty's Show
Down race hosted this spring .
Had like 250+ at our own Sc National here in WA , no Ryan's either .
When I got the email saying you posted on this threat, I saw there were 3 links to yahoo. But none of them worked for me and they dont display here. You can use the upload feature on rctech. If you have the pictures locally.Create a post and click on the attachment icon.
I chose to install two Reedy 4000mAH Shorty packs in my SC10 4x4 to add weight to the front. I don't have the Exotec chassis so I needed the 80gms like Maifield did. Two shorty packs are about 100gms heavier than the saddle packs so I figure that I am getting almost the same weight even though it is positioned a little to the rear. I removed all other added weights.
Mounting:
I used the Factory Team upgrade kit mounting parts to create a new mount. I had to cut the post side down and drill two holes to attach it on the right side back in front of my speedo. I then cut down the stock stick pack brace and created a circular cut to fit under the post. Then I use the stock locking mechanizm. It seems to work really good. I had to add additional foam to the left side and added the pad underneath.
Wiring:
I soldered two leads to a 4mm female bullet connector so that the male from my speed connects up nice. One y cable for the positive and one for the negative and I am in business. 8000mAH with not much added weight...weight I needed to add anyway.
I will weigh each corner and take some pics to show what I did soon. I hope to get 50/50 weight eavenly distributed side-to-side.

i was hoping to see some AE guys there as its one of the larger races here in the north east.besides motorama i think its the 2nd largest.
Well after taking a long break I'm back. Truck has been gone thru and is ready.
4600 kv has new bearings in it, now it's smooth as butter. Took out 2way pistons and put stockers in there, added 20g of brass weight in front. very excited to take it on our new huge indoor track we have in Cocoa.
I'm gonna run this and compare to the Durango that my friend has once I dial in the weight bias some more.
