Welp, the center ball diff is so sweet I won my 1st A main with it installed backwards! Thanks for calling this out fq. I flipped my ball diff last night, hope it pays off this weekend.

Where are you measuring the rear ride height from? the flat on the chassis before the kickup on the rear chassis or at the kickup(under the tranny)?

After Years of running 1/8 scale (xrays) I'm now giving SC a shoot. I picked up a sc104x4 here on rctech a few weeks back..Been following the thread..Some of it has been helped..I think I'm on the path of a decent setup now..Ran Fast lap at my local club race but made mistakes in the main not the trucks fault..

No fancy setups here just..

Setup so far: Kit built not FT w/FT upgrade/Outside track hard pack dust outside of lanes/ small tight layout no big jumps

Front:
30wt Shock oil
Shock mounted inside hole on arm middle on tower
30000 Front diff fluid/Diffs Shimmed with AE .5mm shims
Hazard wheels PL Holeshoot m4/CC PL insert
Yellow spring
Sway Bar: yellow
Servo: JR 8450
Camber link: outside hole 1mm shim
19 tooth pulley/clicker locked
Bumpsteer 1mm on ackerman/forward hole 1mm on spindle
Camber -1 degree
Ridge Height 24mm
Body; PL Ford Flotech..Rear vents cut out and hood scoop vent cut out

Rear:
27.5 wt Shock Oil
Shock mounted inside hole on arm inside hole on tower
7000 Diff Fluid/Diff shimmed with .5mm AE Shims
Hazard wheels PL Holeshots M4/CC PL insert
Camber Link: outside hole mount, middle on Hub (not 8mm mod)
Yellow Springs
Sway Bar: yellow
Camber -2 degree
Ride Height 24mm
Tekin SC4X 4.5
FT basket clutch (wheels and slipper with slip when held on track surface)
1.5 Ounces lead added behind batterys

Electronics: Novak Kinetic 2s, Ip 5000 Saddles, Futaba 604 receiver

Next thing I'll try is JC DD's, and Garodisc for the basket clutch..Other than than just wheel it!

Last edited by pablo101; 08-15-2012 at 05:24 PM. Reason: rear swat bar color....camber links on outside holes front and rear not inside

Like it. My next body when it's needed.
Newest thought on how to vent, should be an improvement on the flowtek and hiflow.
Really like the look... better than a Ford

Could be... the Ford body is not a high flow kinda body. More for a fun vintage scale look.
Or he's a Chevy guy.
