I tried those spring stops but they dont fit snug against the shock body. Theyre a bit too big so even though it holds the losi spring fine, it still wiggles a bit around the shock body. Are you guys having the same results?
Also, is there a step by step write up on the C-Hub process? Sounds a little complicated, im still learning.

The c-hub mod is easy. All your doing is shaving the bump where the inner ball studs go. They have instructions included if you buy the Associated ones.

Yes, the Traxxas top collars have a little slop. But they are cheap. The Avid collars are much better and are easier to adjust.

I have a strange situation. Last night I was running at the track and came into something I've never encountered before. Basically I had the truck running as normal in the first heat. The second heat came and the truck lost a lot of power. The power it did have was being sent to the left wheel causing the truck to pull left. I haven't been able to take it apart yet, but any idea on what it could be? It's a ft truck FYI.

As for bypass piston and valve setup, piston goes on first with the valves on top.

Diff may just need tightening or a rebuild. You really can't tell until you take it apart. The cva's and hubs are much easier and quicker to inspect so start there.
