I read that some of you say the Traxxas bottoms work as well. When I did my conversion a few weeks ago I tried the Traxxas bottom but it would'nt slide down over the eyelet like the 22 did. Am I missing something here? I have no issues with the 22 bottoms but im curious.
Upon further reading I found 1766 is listed for the b/t4 & b/t4.1 but the 9852 is listed for only b/t4.1. I'm guessing the 9852 uses the metric bearing & the 1766 uses the standard. Is this correct?

Thanks for the advice. The chassis is a foregone conclusion, I like your other suggestions. I was surprised at the motor and ESC myself and will be keeping those. I did make an order for an upgrade on the servo.
lol, 4 weeks ago you posted "if it aint broke done fix it". Now your converted to big bores spring, lol. I found your post when looking up the part numbers.
I checked there spring rates. I currently use brown front and silver rear. So I would think Losi Yellow rear and losi orange up front would be equivalent. That sound about right?
velvets...
.
Interesting. I'm looking at expanding my spring collection for my velvets. The K springs are stupid expensive. Do the Losi's fit on there without all the hoopla with aftermarket collars and such?

Yes, they work perfect on velvets. Use traxxas upper retainers and the losi lower cups TLR5095 pick up Losi red and orange front springs and white and yellow rear springs. Keep the Associated lower eyes. This mod can be done for around 30 bucks. This setup gives you plenty of ride height adj. You need to come back to Muskegon / Hesperia to race!!
