I know the Associated shaft drive is lower maint, but I like them both! I've owned both brands..just not in an onroad vehicle. That TH easy pay has spoiled me, otherwise I would get a TA05v2 kit.

I have the same Sprint 2 Sport car and the Club Racer version of the TC4. I think the TC4 is more durable out of the box and has great parts support in many places. I replaced the servo in the HPI before I even ran it.

My friend is offering to let me buy his Nikko Dodge Viper for $60.
It will come with both of the bodies it came with, the car itself, and two batteries.
This will be my first hobby grade rc car if I buy it. Should I?
(It's this version)

Thanks for all you guys help but I went to my first off-road event last night and decided I want another off-road vehicle. So most everyone had SCTs right and I want one but my budget can't find a very decent RTR. I found some buggies though. Most of the guys down there had RTRs too but they changed some things out and so that's what I was planning to do with my RTRs. anyways can someone points ms in the direction of a good RTR Sc or Buggy that's like $200 dollars or less only requirements:
-Electric
-4WD or 2WD
-brushless
-Decent for racing(or less, as I said gonna change some things)

For off road:
Team associated 2wd SC10 KMC for $229
For on road:
Team Associated 1/10 TC4 Touring Car EP RTR for 239

If you buy the Nikko, you're ban from this forum... haha... j/k
Everyone is saying to buy a kit... don't listen to them...
Everyone whom say to buy a kit: unless you are donating your lipo BL Charger for a beginner, I say RTR. oops, i left out esc... bam... tires... 1waydiff... tit buckles :P We all have to start somewhere....
