I would like to know if anyone has advice on a general calculation or tribal knowledge when it comes to the heat of the summer and bumping up your shock oil to accommodate?
Today is at home wrenching day so I would like to rebuild but not sure how many wts I should go up to match this 115 deg AZ heat!
Any advice would be great!
I am running:
-35wt Front
-30wt Rear

First day running BB springs. I started the morning with Avid yellow fronts and Avid yellow rears,AE 35 front/Losi 32.5 rear, and #2 pistons all around. First round was real slick so I could'nt get a true feel. The second round started grooving up and it felt good but a little lazy in the front but I tq'd the A main. For the mains it was grooved up real nice and I tried red all around. It felt good too but a little bit twitchy. I had a really good run and got first but im not sure which way I liked better. If I could find something right in the middle it would be perfect. I will make some changes for the next meet and hope I get there. Very happy over all

Keep trying different combos to see what your track requires. I usually only make adjustments between the two heat, then which ever one I like the most I run in the Main.

I am setting up a SC10 and I will be running a Reedy 17.5 with a 75T spur gear and i was thinking about starting with a 25T pinion. The track I use has a 100ft straight away. besides looking at temps what is a good final drive ratio?

I run at SRS currently, I have gone to ET a few times to spectate and met some cool guys... all of which spoke highly of Glitch. I live a block away from ET so was sad to hear it is on its way out.
Based on your signature I assume your a regular at Glitch? I would love to make it out there one of these weekends, how are the turnouts?
Thanks again..

Turnouts fluctuate. especially during the summer. But it's usually a decent turnout. Next weekend is the "End of the World series" so it should be a good turnout. But, being so hot you never know.

Avid has finnaly got around to releasing lower spring cups and of course they are made of aluminum!! And they have a angled slot so they dont pop off...psh ill stick with the tlr 22 lowers!

$78-$85 is not a cheap conversion if you go all Avid. That's just to change springs.
