Well Neal, I have to tell you, my Bonito, and my B5Pro are performing flawlessly! Singer and I were out for practise on Sunday, and drove all afternoon, and into the late evening, tank after tank, only taking breaks to eat, or when the wind got too annoying on the eyes. They held their tune with zero flameouts, and the only thing I did with the needles was nudge the idle a tad on both mills, once, all day long..I can't be happier right now!
It's so nice to race, and have one less thing to stress about ( chasing a tune ) so that I can just focus on setup and racing. THANX!!!

A little Clocked Roma action.......... this engine is fantastic...extremely powerful and fast, but easy to drive , it does everything effortlessly... You find yourself barely using the throttle and the engine effortless clears everything..... tuning is very easy, the engine so far has been ridiculously stable...It has a very deep throaty exhaust note and is actually quote a bit faster on top end then I expected...On Wed we had a little go between a Clocked OS 28 and the Clocked Roma and the Roma had no issue running the OS down, even giving the OS a little head start......Runtimes do seem quite good....as the engine has soo much juice you just cant help but run part throttle....... Definitely one hell of a awesome engine..edit...we have a very low stall set on the Buku....

Once Neal got the engine tuned in for me with my fuel tank and pipe setup, we've barely had to touch it!

Both engines are great and you can't go wrong with either one. The Clocked p5 has a tad more torque in my experience. However, the Clocked B5 will flat run it's @ss off ..seems to be a tad better on fuel with my set up and has a great top end as well. If I had to choose between the two I'd have to say I have a preference for the P5 in my truggy though...very smooth (not unlike the B5, and the power is there when you need it. Like I said, both are killer engines..they both have more than enough for truggy. Be prepared to shred some tires either way..

Hi Neal.
I'm sure you've gotten the request many times, but is there any chance of you putting a clocked Bonito on the ol' dyno? I'm dying to see what kind of output it has. Keep up the marvelous work, I'm only too happy to support a fellow Canuck who does top notch work!

So I purchased a clocked B6 Pro from Neal about 2 weeks ago. I ordered it on a Saturday and it arrived on a Thursday in California. Worried a bit about the timeline I called Clockwork on Tues. to see when it was going to ship, and when I would expect it to arrive. To my suprise I actually got Neal on the phone. I have to say, this says alot about a company when you can dial a number and speak to the "owner". With some reassurance about shipping, and some tuning questions and answers, I felt confident I made the right choice.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to do as thorough a break-in as I typically would like to do. But got a couple heat cycle tanks through it, a couple 1/4 - 1/2 throttle tanks through it, then a few tuning tanks through it and on the track it went.
First heat of qualifying at the JBRL Round #3 at Hemet, CA - Had the idle too low and flamed out after landing a jump, so lost about a lap. Motor was still way rich, but I was one of very few in my heat (class for that matter) clearing the large quad jump. My fast lap, was 2nd fastest of the session. After 5 mins of running, still rich, came off at 200 degrees and more then half a tank.
Second heat, tried the 2013 pipe (had 2058), leaned the top 2 hours, and off I went. The track had rutted up, and the jumps weren't giving the same pop, but was still able to clear the quad pretty easily. Also dry track, good temps again but didn't notice a large enough difference with the 2013 pipe to make a difference so went back to the 2058.
So qualified 3rd in B-Main (LOL UGH)... Bad start, lost a few places, but within a few laps was in the lead, only to break the front A-Arm (think it broke during warm-up).
Other then the heats, I only had 2, 5 minute practice sessions with my truggy on the track, so alot more practice would've helped.
In conlusion, from what I've "felt" this motor is going to be a great one. Very pleased.
Next up round 4 in Hesperia...
I had an OS Speed user ask me what I was running as I ran him down on the straight after he got out of the corner first
Time to order a Clocked B5 Pro for my Truggy
after 1 1/2 racing seasons, my "stock" B5 Pro is dying LOL

Had the itch to do a little truggy chassis tinkering today so I decided to drop in an old Werks B5 (not Clocked) and head to the track. Didn't want to use up any practice time on my CRE mills.
Man I have a whole new appreciation for how good Neal's engines really are. Althought the stock B5 ran perfectly all day (over 8 gallons on it!), it was clear how inferior it is compared to its CRE brother or any of the CRE engines.
Neal we really are spoiled by your craftsmanship and expertise. I can't figure out why some people claim that CRE engines are "allegedly" hard to tune or don't get good mileage. I think there are to many bench racers around hear not taking the time to understand the engine basics. Hell even the so called "pros" or "team drivers" seem to lack some basic engine tuning skills.
Oh well, as long as you keep making them, I will keep buying them up. One can never have to many engine options, right
