Hmmm, I'll have to try it.
What advantage did you see from toe in?
Less turn in more exit steering, this truck has more than enough steering toe in calms it down allowing you to drive more aggressive. same with 0 camber

Nothing to it, just pull the diffs, drain, remove the cross pins and planet gears (4 small gears) to get to the sun gear. Remove the large sun gear with needle nose pliers and when reassembling replace the coned stock shim with the new thicker shim.
The diff cover has the other large sun gear, thats super simple to get to.

When reassembling use some green slime on the o-ring seal on the outdrive shafts like you would on a shock rebuild to help keep the oil in and give it some slickery goodness.

Pull the bearings off and at least clean them out & relube or better, replace. Those are a crud magnet with the diff lube leaking out into them. They get the most dirt on them and they are the least maintained because they are so buried. Do it while your in there.

Or higher voltage with a 3 cell, but I don't know how you would fit it in the tray.

This is a really fast motor, the higher the kv, the higher the top speed.

You will get about 7000 rpm more from a 5200 motor than a 4600 motor giving you more top speed. Normally you would lose some bottom end with a high kv motor, but the 4 pole motors have a ton of bottom end.

Since there are not many hurricanes in Oregon, you may have to change your motor

I run 13/62 with my 4600 kv motor... about 4.5 turns. Watch your temps and go higher on the pinion till your temps cap you out.

Anyone have any good method to close the holes (the ones circling the rim) in the original rims from the outside? I just took off the tires from two of them and had about two big fistfuls of sand in them.

Right, thats the limitation. If it were a Velcro hold down like the scte, you could fit the additional height. The belt tunnel would also get in the way of a 5000+ mah 3 cell.

Try a 13 pinion. Do you have a temp gun?
