I need some opinions about tires
Track is indoor clay wet tacky packed smooth
I'm assuming bk bar type tires are better because they don't load up
The mc compound sounds too hard, I mean going around the track the tire is loud when corners you can hear it scrubbing. But lap times are better then m3 holeshots
But the mc is tougher to be consistent with..
Soft rebars seem good. The question is when it's wet and tacky is softer generally better ?
As race day progresses and the groove dries up some and tires load up less and maybe switch to a taper pin or holeshot, is softer still supposedly better ?
At what point is super soft, not the best compound ?

Avid is really comming on strong. New C-hub towers that allow you to use the lower set of holes with the shaved U-brace, and the upper set of holes are equall to the A-tower. These are cool because my A-tower rubs the inside of my wheel on hard landings, and carbon fiber is fast! Keep it comming Avid!

different tracks seem to have there own niches so the best advice i could give you is keep an eye on the local fast guys and ask them or watch them between each round. if the track is drying out throughout the race day like you say then those guys will most likely be changing compounds throughout the day.
I have tested every tire but not every compound every tire.. The main problem is I get better lap times every time because Im learning the track better. I really like the Sweep 10Droids but I only have them in silver (ss)
If there is no loam or loose anywhere on the track, is there ever a better compound then super soft.. (a/c indoor building never will be over 85*F)(I hope)

Lower your front ride height on the shock collars. One turn makes a noticeable difference. Once I have the right tires and the camber links are set to make the vehicle act right, my last step is playing with minor ride height adjustments for that last little tweak.

stupid question for you guys...
I have a B4, and i am wondering how often i should be working with the transmission oils. the car is producing a high pitched whine and i can't tell why. the wheels don't seem to want to coast at all anymore either.
mesh too tight, or should i open it up and give it an oil change?
if the mesh, any suggestions on how to keep the motor in one place so my pinion quits moving around every time it jumps?

I know this subject was talked about a lot but I can't find it. Are you guys using the black spacers that come in the rebuild kit for the shocks or the white ones? and if the white ones where do I get them? Thanks

You can trim down the black ones, just use some fine sandpaper. Or if you want to get the whites the part # is 6440

Depends on how hard the surface is in my experience.
Hard packed, then I run a Losi Pink, JC Blue/Green (depending on moisture wet=green). I scrub down the center bars, so the tire is essentially bald down the middle.
If the surface is softer, allowing the pins to actually work, then I go with a firmer compound. Proline's MC, JC Gold, etc.
I've found that Pink BKs and Blue V1 Barcodes get me by just about everywhere (depending on how worn they are). I definitely prefer the V1 Barcodes on my b4.

golds are terrible unless there is a fresh layout. i don't understand why indoor compounds usually do not work indoors around here. Right now bite at irh is all over the place...
