Blues felt really good in front. Truck felt like it was in the track instead of riding on it.

I think my biggest current limiter is my finger. Truck had way more power than I could I use. My throttle profile was the curve below linear. I could blow it out into a donut anytime anywhere even on the straights ,but I think throttle control is the way to deal with it.

I started with subcultures, good on this track,,, went to bow fighter's,, no good at all, then some enduro's.. good but not great.. Finally settled on the bowties and they let me mover the rear end around under control and stick the nose where I wanted it.
With the bigger motors and the lightness of this truck, you can use throttle profile 1 and trust me it's still plenty, it'll actually make it smoother and easier to drive then when the power ramps back in , it comes in nice.

I don't like modulating with my finger but that is key.

I run on outdoor clay and either Subcultures or Holeshots are the key, just depends how much water is on the track.

Track was damp last night, nice and tacky!.. I think if it were drier more of a pin would be a better choice.

I definitely agree about the throttle profile. I'm going to profile 1 next to see how it acts. I still get guilty of nerves and grab the gas like smashing a can once in a while. A milder profile would give the brain a lil less to think about.. Definitely a good thing for me

exactly then you can concentrate on driving the truck and your lines.

What is the exact setup you have on the vehicle?

Default Tip for removing x-ring spacer in shocks

For those that have went back into there shocks and found it a little tough to remove the spacer between the x-rings inside the seal cartridge, I have a little tip that might help. Use the anodized pin that passes through lower shock eyelet and control arm to pass through spacer and grab top side of it to remove. This seemed to work well after struggling to find something to pull spacer out of cartridge due to its slight interference fit. Try it out next time you service your shocks.

My experience with a hd pad for front is: the thighter the slipper the harder the front engages. Run it to loose and I got on power oversteer. The VTS works more like a dry haldex diff.

FWIW the Avid wheels are the bomb diggity. Avid/holeshots are almost 10gms lighter per wheel than any other wheel combo!
Talk about acceleration difference try HB megabites then go to avid/holeshots and its like running a hotter motor.

Any of you guys running 1/10 scale ESCs? Any issues with heat? How's the balance with saddles?

I'm planning a Tekin Pro4 and LRP SXX or Speed Passion GT Pro2.0 setup. A couple of local racers are running similar combos, and I'm trying to keep the weight and chassis balance in check.

I run the Speed Passion GT2.0 Pro with a Tekin Pro4 and have with the Tekin 550 and its an excellent ESC. Fits under the belt tunnel with room to spare around it in my SC104x4 using the Exotek chassis and Exotek inline saddle setup.

There are others that use this combo too and like it as well. To me it feels pretty balanced and I have no heat issues.

I plan on getting a set of these to use when the 3ds come out. Are they available to order in any color other than black?

Lamar I'd be careful of the LRP SXX. I just sent one back and I heard Alex may have sent a couple back. I saw after mine stopped working that many people had issues with these.

Have you had a chance to do a comparison to the RC Shox Center Diff?

I've had bad luck with the V2 stuff myself, but the V1 stuff is bulletproof.
