Are you sure about that? Usually a company will advertise that on their site. that rccoh site isn't a Tekin site.

Its too late on east coast (Indiana) to call, so I emailed them... will let ya know!

even though rccoh states "you can be assured"... its better to hear from the horses mouth!

http://www.rccoh.com/rc.companies/made.in.usa.html

Also, that page lists some other "vintage" RC manufacturers that I know are strictly made in the USA.. they've been around since before the whole "global economy" crap.

Parma, Kimbrough, Pactra, MIP, Robinson Racing, RPM.. these guys been around since the '80s! their as American and GI Joe n Cobra!

If you have a RX8 check the packaging or product, one should disclose the country of manufacture. Usually if a product is made in USA it is plastered all over the product. They are designed here though, I think.

I saw a company listed on the web-site that should not be listed. Kinda makes me wonder how the site did its research and if that is the only company listed.

from the rx8/t8 combo package. ESC designed and manufactured in the USA using foreign and domestic components. Motor designed by tekin USA: Made in China

Well after finally getting my buggy built and running and having some time to run it, I only got to drive it for a measly five minutes before a broke a flanged frontdiff bearing. I was pretty bummed. I got some Tony's screws and avid bearings. Will see how she goes next time

I'd try a lighter sway bar if you didn't try that yet..soft spring will help to

Check your droop make sure nothing is binding a good test take your shocks off the arms everything should drop fast. Also are you take a height measurmemt on the front and back check out the serpent site believe there are a few setups but as stated your sway bars are key make sure the balls that go in the arm are free if you over tighten the sway bar holder it will bind the bar attachment

You simply can NOT get a brushless motor made in the USA. Its impossible. The cost of the magnets in the USA alone cost 2x more than it cost's to buy the whole motor from china. This is because we have a more limited supply of the rock's than China does, and our workers will not mine it for 3 cents an hour obviously. The magnets are used in several of the U.S.M.C, Airforce, Army Etc... Aircraft/vehicle guidance systems and this is why there expensive. The motor and speedo are 100% designed in the USA but 100% [B]MADE IN CHINA[B]Just like every other electronics brand unfortunately

On the rear hubs the 5mm shims, what is the meaning of moving the shims 2.5 either side. Just that my rear end to stay one way when I lay down the power, shocks on 50 rebound blue springs front half weight down on oils, rear purple 553 hard packed mostly has we use it for 1/5 aswell so you can guess we have some loose corners, big straight aswell, was just looking for a good set up thanks

The stock setup is definitely very stiff. Probably due to the way tracks are in Europe. I went to lighter front/rear sway bars and down to 30wt (from 35wt) rear shock fluid. I also moved the shocks one hole out from the stock position. Made a huge difference. I hear the webbed shock bladders also help.

I think the most costs comes from the labor of winding the wires etc. And yes, those ladies work for a couple of peanuts an hour...
Ive seen an official statement from Steve Neu about this. Not about those peanuts though...

ya, but it only costs a few peanuts a month to live so it is all relative. Word is though China's cheap labor a bad environmental practices are catching up to them and it is actually starting to look better for US manufacturing.
