Hey everyone,
Manual says to use the 93T/48P Spur with a 540 motor on the FT setup. Is this a good starting point for the Pro4 4600?
I'm thinking I should buy some 48p 12-16t pinions, but is there anything special I need to buy to fit the Pro4 shaft?
Thanks!

That is before Tekin came out with the Pro4 4 pole 540 motor. The Pro4 motor will rip the teeth off a 48p gear. Best go with the 32p gears. The Pro4 motors have 5mm shaft I believe.
When they say 48p for 540s, they are talking about "normal" 2-pole 540s. The Pro4 is a monster and will eat 48p spurs for dinner...
Pro4 is a 5mm shaft....only place I've seen 5mm 48p pinions is Kershaw Design...and be prepared to choke when you see the price of them!

With the pro 4 you need to go with the 32p depending on track size I would say prob start with a 13 and go from there. I run a 14 on a fairly large track where lap times are in the mid 30s but would drop to a 13 once the hot summer gets here.
The alternative would have been that no-one would have had an AE4x4 for last summer....we would have only received them within the last month or so.
I'd personally rather have a busted truck that Marcus fixed, and run AGAINST the Losis, than have to wait a year or RUN a Losi....
Funny you mention other companies having us do their R&D....
I want to thank every person out there who bought Windows Vista...you paid for the priviledge of beta testing Windows 7 and now I have a better OS.

Thanks everyone, so will any 32p pinion fit a 5mm shaft? Reason I ask is because I'll hit up HobbyTown tomorrow, but they only carry Robinson Racing in the store so if it is not a 'normal' setup I might as well save a trip...
Many of the Robinson 32p pinions are 3.5mm. Should say on the package. Call them
