My guess, as something similar happened to my buddy, was that one of the pins in the rear CVD was binding on the bearing (slipped out slightly when assembling the rest of the rear arms/hubs). His slipped enough that you could drag it across the ground and the wheels stayed locked up. If yours was just barely out of alignment, it might have popped back in.

What ESC/Radio/Servo are you using? If you are using an ESC with a low BEC, and a servo with a high stall current (ie. Savox), you might not be hearing a slipping.....it might be your electronics being overloaded by a servo that is drawing too much.

Without trying to drive forward, set your steering endpoints to the point where you don't hear the servo at full lock (if you are pushing beyond the physical limitations of the steering rack, you should hear the servo stressing to push farther, and possibly even see the steering assembly bow a bit under the stress). I would even go 5-10% less than the physical end points to start, as this truck as SO much steering to begin with.

Try that and let us know!

Steve Hartson I think is running 4wd. Should be very interesting to see how the AE does.

I actually already adjusted the steering back and still same results. It is a hitec 7955tg. The rest of the electrics I stole out of my b44, a mmp and havoc velocity 5.5 540 can. went ahead and took it to the track and it def, has an issue I took it around for like two laps and the motor heated up quickly when coming from out of a corner it would hesitate, then accelerate quickly after a second or two. Tried reprogramming a couple times and it made no difference.

Default ride height

Ok, with the new FT set up and running on an indoor track - what ride height would you guys recommend?

I have found a factory team driver set-up that used 24mm in the front and 22mm in the rear. However, that just seems a little too low or would bottom out on some of the jumps.

So, I am just curious as to what the current median point that you guys have found works for you. please share, if you don't mind.

try 25 front and rear.

Its really gonna be trial and error for you. Cameron can probably chime in since he runs a lot of indoor.

Hey guys,

Chasing a part number for the Orange Sway bars, I must've got an earlier set from Amain as they were not included. Have searched Amain for Orange bars on their own but not having any luck.

Cheers in advance.

These are some complicated little trucks. I just picked up a non FT version and was looking through the thread for the typical suggested upgrades and I must say there are a TON of different things these trucks seem to need to be competitive.

Guess I better keep reading.
