I'm sure the price will be lower once they are everywhere. They feel better than Losi's and equal to Kyosho"s when ran back to back

And considering they are match tested prior to packaging, $9 per pair is a bargain!

Just kidding

Ghea sells the threaded top retainers. Traxxis or losi bottom retainers are used and the best springs are either kyosho or the new avids. Sorry, I dont know part #s
I observed the prototype big bores on maifields b4.1 and the big bore conversion on his b44.1 v2s. At least that is what it looked like to me.

yeah i didnt like the whites in the rear with shorty or full pack, silver/pink is really nice tho, alot better then brown/green ae everywhere on the track... think outdoor silver/yellow would be nice. but with avid springs coming i think thats the route everyone will be going hah

i agree it did make the car feel a lil more lazy in turns initialy..i put the avid rack on and it took the lazy right out of the losi spings and just as u said the key thing the losi springs did for me was made the car more predictable and consistent and SMOOTH.. i didnt like it the first night because i felt slightly less agressive in turns and i had to get used to the way it reacted. but the second night i loved it and my 5 min times went down noticeably.

Two weeks ago I ran my Losi 22 for the last time. I again had problems getting it dialed for rear traction. A week later I sold the 22 and completed the build on my new 4.1 worlds. Night and day in my opinion. The 4.1 was great right out of the box. Granted I did do the hex conversion, and the big bore conversion. Running the losi BB red springs in front with Losi 27.5 wt oil and #2 piston, and yellow springs with 25wt oil and #3 piston in the rear. Easy to jump, landing is right on and easy to control. I decided to go the shorty pack route since I had it left over from my 22. I am using one half pad up front, and a SC10 pad in the rear. Love this car.

Now if I only had more time to practice. Can't blame the car anymore...

Silver / White is a bad combo IMO. Car isn't balanced. If you want your car to feel reactive like it does with std, run the silver with Pink or Yellow if bite is low. Orange/Yellow is your safe setup. If you are gonna run white rears, match them with red front. Personally I didn't like Red or White in any combination.

Rory I'm running that same set up,since I run at Westcoast, but I've been running at sdrc lately and it's really fun,I use losi oil and I've been running 30/27.5 but I just went up 2.5 in all the shocks to try that,I'm keeping the reds up front but wanna try white since I run the shorty(huge difference in handling)I also run 1/2 oz in front of the servo.

For the shorty lipo slide it back as far as you can and add weight up front, you will gain alot of rear traction without sacrificing to much steering at all.I did this last time and the car was stuck to the track.1.5 pads in the reAr

I guess I should have prefaced it with Red/White is good with a shorty pack.... that's about it IMO. When I ran it with standard pack, my car need brakes to turn, didn't jump right, and just not fast. I was almost a second a lap slower with that combo, again, I was with a std lipo though.
