I thought Marcus, RCShox, recommended bladder style with bleeder screws removed & zero rebound.
At any rate, I tried emulsion and I couldn't get a feel for it.

Yes either emulsion or bladders with the screw removed just make sure you have zero rebound. Build the shock the way you like it.

The piston gives you the rebound by opening. If you build the shocks with rebound then the shock pressure will push the piston down and that keeps the piston closed during rebound travel. The shock shaft needs to be pulled out of the shock by the spring for the 2-stage piston to work correctly.

Yeah I know. BUT being a almost senior citizen (55) and being out of RC for over 16 years I would like to think AE would still be selling quality RC like they did in the 80s and 90s. (
Parts missing) Not saying that it's not on par as everything else on the market nowadays ie: not produced in the USA. Owning over 30 new AE kits in the past I'm just a little dissapointed. No this isn't a bi*ch session but in these times quality control or return customers is not anything to get excited about anymore. Hit or miss. I guess I'll just buy the o-rings.

Does anyone run higher than 30wt shock oil in the rear for stock pistons and exotek chassis? Thanks!

Coming from a sc4x 4.5, the tenshock 4600 is a beast. Way more bottom end and a few MPH more on the top.
I have not run a pro4, but I was fastest on the straight in my last race. Came off the track at 145 with 15/62 gearing indoor.

My opinion, for the money it's well worth it.
