The nitro 811 is getting updated parts which the 811E already comes with.

This was my first offroad race of the season and I was really looking forward to it. The race drew a 110 entry crowd on Dirt Burner track that is a damp indoor hard packed clay. I was able to qualify 5th and with TQ being a good margian ahead of second and the rest top 6 only 2nds apart. The main started very good for me moving into 2nd in the first few minutes then the dreeded quad section of the track got me, I just plain screwed it up the next few laps and fell to 7th, rather far behind but I was able to make up at least one position before the end of the race finishing 6th.
I'll try and get a set up sheet filled out as soon as I can get one that is editable.
Thank you Serpent the 811Be has been the best 8th scale I've had!

Just ordered my Cobra S811 E-Buggy, will be here early next week. How similar is the setup between the E-Buggy and Nitro? I have a couple practice days on the Nitro Buggy and have a good base setup for that but looking for one for the E-Buggy. Not sure I can use the same one or if I need a seperate one to start. Any tips?

Hi guys, first time doing such a setup fr a buggy.
Can I jus clarify or could u guys verify for me is this common in this kinda setup or do I hv a prob!
Wen I move my front or rear wheels with my fingers, all e axles move till e centre diff, except for e other side of e diff. This happens with both front n rear. Onli e side I move e wheels rotate right up till that side of e centre diff, but the pop side of e centre diff and inwards doesn't move. But wen I turn my centre diff spur gear, both front n rear moves. Is this normal?
Btw, I didn't really put e shims exactly on e front n rear diff which was stated on e white paper as I overlooked it, but was told that it's jus a guideline so I left it as I did put shims in.
Hope u guys could enlighten me.
Cheers

Move the pinion away from the spur gear and the whole drive train should rotate. If this is a new build, there will be some resistance until you go through 4 to 6 battery packs. Then you may need to recheck your diffs and shim accordingly.

Hi honu,
Yes this is a new build. N I hv not added in e motor yet.
I'm moving the axles just to chk the movement and etc. Like I said in my earlier post, all axles move onli wen I rotate the spur gear by my hand.
So am I still gd?

^ 20 mins huh... try nitro!
idk much about electrics, this buggy is my first in over 10 years, but I heard from some gurus at my local track bragging about 20 mins + running 6s 6000mah+ packs on a 1400kv motor.
Im sure there is some calculation that would tell you.. I would search for that.

well got to race my buggy again yesterday and it didnt go so well. Car was very loose. I was basically a non contender. We had A threw D mains and I was in the middle of the C!!! Car would just spin out to easy. I had the correct tires on for the track as well. My current setup is close to stock minus blue front springs with 40wt. Yellow rears with 35wt, bottom inside hole on the front tower and inside on the hub, Rear, bottom inside hole on the tower, furthest outer hole on the hub. Opt 2 rack. If anyone has suggestions let me know. I went with the long rear camber link trying to slow the reaction down. Nitro car wasnt much better either but thats another story.
