I'm new again to the RC world and I've learned alot in the last few week such as how much of a difference a good set of tires will make in the handling of the truck. And that brings me to my question.
As of last night I have installed a tekin RX8 esc and a pro4 4600 KV motor to to my SC10 4x4. When the owner of my local hobby store gave the truck the beans it blew the tires off the truck.
So I went home and re glued them but now I've noticed a new problem. which I did not notice with the stock esc and motor. The tires stay on now which is good but the tires now imatate the tires of a top fuel dragster and grow in height which in turn shrinks my contact patch for the tires. Is there something I can do to help the tires not deform under full throttle and not have to detune my esc

Speed ,
Can try strapping a piece of tape on the inside of the tire before gluing ..
The tires can only stretch if they are spinning with no grip , if they had traction the tire speed would not be strong enough to do otherwise ....

Just wanted to see if someone could help me with the v2 center diff. Not sure if its available yet but I wanted to place the order. Just wanted to see if there is anything else I need along with it. I have the new FT kit.
Thanks

I used to run the lrp x12L. geared it 12/13-62. would come off around 200 consistantly. LRP stuff tends to run hotter than any otherbrands out there. I've talked with Chris and Aldo about this and they both have said and I quote "200 is fine, if you get to 220-230- range, then gear down or change your ESC settings." Also, if you run drag brake, that causes ALOT of heat. what are your track conditions like?

Nothing else is needed, but I would suggest picking up an additional V2 slipper spring to make sure you always have a fresh spring. The diff can slip if/when the stock spring starts to go soft.

It is a indoor clay track with pretty good traction..thanks for the response are you running the 4.5 turn? I have the 5.5 turn... also what esc settings you running? I really think a big problem is the slipper... I am just running the stock with high torgue pads... I am waiting for the ft vts4 slipper to come in the mail... I also just ordered a pro4 4000kv to try out... anyone run that motor witg the tc spec?
Ok guys and gals.. Here are my results after getting the FT on some scales...I used 4 of the 1000g eBay jewelry scales. Definitely NOT what I expected to see...
Mine is equipped with Spektrum servo and receiver w cap,RX8,Tenshock 411 4600,Reedy saddles.. I measured it on my wooden kitchen table and moved the scales around from corner to corner to make sure I didn't have a bad scale. For anyone wanting to verify the accuracy of a scale a nickel weighs 5 grams.. But I digress.. On to the numbers....
LF 21.39 oz RF 18.19 oz
LR 23.66 oz RR 26.05 oz
Totally shocked the motor/esc side is 2.4oz lighter than the receiver side. Only thing I can figure is the belt assembly/slipper is all offset to the right.
Also pretty wild how light the front end is!!!! Now thinking all my weight is going to end up around the servo.
