I love the set-up and the weight distribution it provides. This build is my RE-introduction back into racing as we retired from racing in 2004. I'm looking forward to getting back into action with this rig.
Previously we ran 1/8 buggy and truggy. With these trucks, we can FINALLY race each other!! No more pitting for each other.

I am now debating on whether to run stick packs that I have 5500 60c reedy packs, or the saddle packs gen ace 25c 6000 mah(if they will fit they are slightly shorter and more narrow, but are 5mmish taller. Don't want to buy new saddle packs right now. Which way would you guys go? Less c batteries(if they fit) and better balance, or more power. At the moment I am leaning toward the saddlepack setup.

my gens ace 6000 saddles, fit , they are tight but they fit. You will need longer screws and flat washers.

For the FT saddle pack setup you will need at least a 3x22mm FH screw and a 3x22mm set screw to fit the gens ace 6000mah lipo's......... Like stated the fitment is tight but will fit...... Here is a pic:

Yup.. This is what you'll need:

And that's most likely the best price you'll find it for too!

2.4ghz antennas are really short, next time you should try to keep the antenna inside the body so there's no chance of it getting ripped off.

Default center diff question

hey guys,
i was taking the car apart to shim the rear diff and noticed that the washer that sits against the thrust brearing of my centerdiff is hollowed out like a hat and I didn't remember it being like that when installed. just wondering if the 2 washers that sit inside that pulley are supposed to be the same or if the hat design is correct and for the thrust bearing balls to run in.
thanks
jody

Idle chatter. If AE wanted to do that, they could make it happen with almost 100% off the shelf parts tomorrow based on the RC8.2e chassis.

A couple of users have already built them.

jody #91007

1 small washer on outdrive first,
then insert outdrive into diff case,
install 1 large washer inside case on outdrive
then install pin, then install sun gear

The shim goes behind the sun gear.

At Trcr ?
we already have a few 1/8 conversions , Ae , Kyosho, ect ...

Sc10 4x4 still faster indoors
than those designs, specially on sharp 180 turns ....
