ehh... I used to think that too. I ran a set this indoor season. Ran twice a week. Bout two weeks ago I was going crazy adjusting my camber... every run was way out. Now I know that it will go a bit out of wack if you hit a bunch of stuff or have alot of rough landings but this wasn't the case. I actually had clean runs with maybe a bobble where I rolled it and come back and found a tire to be several degrees off. Changed the ball cups. Problem gone. I believe that the tie rods were actually jumping threads inside the ball cups and causing the drastic changes. Never seen that before personally.
Been using RPM's for 3 yrs, never had them jump threads...
Lately,i have been bending and jumping threads on them....time to move on,they probably changed something,or there moulds are worn out
Im crashing way less nowadays ocassional little roof roll.....my body proves it,no roof scratches

The camber being badly out was doing my head in.
Then i remembered the Durango's a the track doing it too.....
But,after race day i forgot about it....
Thanks for the headsup Bob..
Just in time for Aussie Nationals too...But,what ballcups to use....i split AE's all the time, maybe there new 1's are different?..havent used an AE set of cups for 3 yrs

I like the sound of the Ti Nitrate stuff...Tighter fit,and black ball cups...sweeet
Gold,so it matchs the shock shafts and camber links
Can anyone verify that it does fit better, and the new AE cups are better?

I beat the crap out of a B4.1, a T4.1, and an SCT last year, all with the factory ball cups. Hit everything that was standing still twice, and chased down everything that was moving just to hit it!
NEVER had a single ball cup pop out on me.

Tyler you can still get the Losi white ballcups, LOSA6015, A Main has them.
For the 17.5 guys, does everyone pretty much agree Revtech is the strongest motor?
I'm not a fan of running a motor with a lot of cooling vents cause I run outdoors sometimes and dont want the clay n sand to get inside.

I don't run 17.5 myself but I saw the blinky guys running Revtech, the boosted running D3 or Reedy. I think the key is with the Revtech to get that high torque rotor
built new wc, was about 1 second slower then my other b4.1. I guess i have to wear it in. Running standard other then no washers around with c hubs in back and shaved brace, i have a push on power, and a push into the turn...
-1 camber? Still gatta tune i barely ran the thing.

Yes I can verify it, or I would not run them or my mouth about them. I have been "around the world" with flippen ball cups and ball studs. If you want to spend the $, lunsford ball studs are the very largest diameter ball studs you can buy. They are .0269 diameter. The black oxide new AE ones, and the gold nitrated ones are between .0267 to .0268. The chrome old style and the new chrome ones with the socket in the heads are only .0264 to.0265 diameter. If you want the very tightest ball cups available, those would be the old white xxx losi cups. They just look "out of place" on the B4's because of their color, so I stick with AE cups and longer than stock lunsford tie rods. If you have NO threads showing with your ties rods, you have more strength, it's that simple. Guys, if you just have to have something RPM, make it a parts tray or a camber guage, aight?

Out on my track, the revtech's have been getting replaced by the Shurrspeed 17.5's. They seem to be the flavor of the quarter.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PFzJNQ9PAHo . how would u guys gear a 10.5 on this track??? i was geared 81-21 and the motor was cold!!!!!! do i need to run a 78-26, for speed?? the buggys in this film was not hurt in anyway cause they are associated b4.1 buggys
ReVtech 17.5's are all the rage down here as well. Have lots of people running them, temps are good as long as it's not over geared. And the high torque rotor is definitely a good upgrade with the 17.5. And the vent's you don't have to worry about, if you are going to worry about it, take your motor apart at the end of every weekend and blow it out with air.
