I tried the 4th hole location today, truck handles shaper but seems lose in the arss end... Maybe a ride height issue? What ride height ft/rr do you guys like for high traction clay?

I had to purchase the PL adapter kit... The RPM limiters were placed on the inside of the shock versus the outside... I am using the springs that came w/ the shocks but would also like to experiment w/ the set they sell.. I like stiff shocks and these are definitely stiff... I use AE 40 wt shock oil... http://www.rpmrcproducts.com/product...hires/7031.htm

start with 28-29mm in the rear and 30-31mm in the front. You will have to re-adjust ride height after going to the 4th hole. You can try another .030" rear limiter to get back a little sidebite since you now have more droop in the rear. With the 4th hole, the shock will act a little softer initially and then will feel more progressive through the stroke.

I am assuming you run a zip tie to the a-arm and then to the shock tower to limit how far the downtravel is like the internal limiters

Depends on what you want to do. the 17.5 motor is the same thing I put in the SC10 you sold and you seemed to like that. Plus, if you are using those Speed Passion GT2.0 Pros you picked up, plenty of settings in it to give it a lot of power.

Thanks for the input. I ordered the front and rear spring sets so when i go to tweak with them I'll give you some feedback if I find a better setup.

Im thinking about upgrading my motor/esc to a better setup. I want something still in the sport range since I'm not always running my car in competitions. Any idea of good setups? Prefer sensor less. What is the lowest turn motor suitable for a t4.1? That is better than the stock 3300kv and even the 3900kv reedy? Thanks guys..I love this thread..

What if you used some heavy gauge fishing line from shock tower to arm? Use the hole reserved for a swaybar screw as a mount on the tower, and install one in the arm below it. Loosen the screw up top to adjust downtravel, tighten it to hold the setting?

Would work similar to the chains/straps you see on NASCAR suspensions...

Okay I'll try that out today and post the feed back. Thanks for the help.

Castle MMP. The ESC is somewhere around $125 and the ESC will run everything: sensored, sensorless, steam pressured, solar powered....well maybe not the last two. I own a couple and have been really happy with them.

Viper also makes good stuff. I've got a VTX10 in my T4 right now that I am very happy with. Much smaller ESC than the MMP and I prefer the cool running, smooth sensored Viper motors.

Also check this out: http://www.hobbypartz.com/07e-combo-sc-a.html
They are out of stock but you can't hardly beat the price. I've seen folks race these at our track with good success.

I have to say I am finding that the Speed Passion GT2.0 series of ESCs for the price they have them now works really well. It has the options for all the upgrade features like Tekin, and if you buy the Hobbywing programmer box which can be found for like $20 shipped new, you can update the software on the ESC as well as easily program the speedo.

The Pro model is strong enough to do 4x4 SCT without a BEC or cap for the receiver.

Price right now is $125 for the pro, $89 for the LPF and the LPF can handle A LOT of duties for 2wd easily. I use it on the SC10 I have.

I'm torn right now between the Hobbywing 120a 8.5 combo, MMP with Sonic 8.5, or the LRP SXX with Sonic 8.5.

Really leaning towards the Hobbywing but I'm hesitant to pull the trigger. Opinions?

Ordered my MT-4 this week. Can't wait!
