Jake... you have a spare older T4 rear tower to compare to the one on the back of your truck now? My LHS doesnt have one in stock and im curious if my 4th drilled hole is off...

best way to do it is if you have a tower that ever broke, just cut the 3 holes off, then mount it to the tower you want to drill via two 4-40 screw and atleast one nut.
but imho it looks pretty close, if anything its 4.1th hole not a 4th hole :P [aka inward alittle extra]

New guy here, is there a adjustment for droop on a rc10t4 in the rear ?
If not can you add some kind of spacer in the shock to reduce the amount of droop in the rear? Where exactly would you put the spacer and any idea on what to use for a spacer ??

Need to install the spacers on the shock shaft below the piston. This will limit total downtravel.

Buy a pack of limiters for $2.00. AE sells limiters specifically for that purpose. To answer you question, yes, the limiters go in between the piston and the seals on the interior of the shock body.

if you want to see how the effect of limiting the droop would be, I have heard you could run zip ties to limit the travel and then based on what you find, you can make it more permanent by putting limiters in the shocks themselves.

Very useful thread, thanks for all of the good set up tips. I do have one question, for the guys running high traction indoor clay... what camber front and rear angle are you finding to work the best?

the newer towers on the truck do not have the "4th hole" added, you still need to drill it if you want to run it

Thats what i did was used a spare tower as a jig. The holes are in line with the others, and spaced the same. It just looks a little close to the top of the tower and the plastic looks thin. It held up fine this past weekend though, it just feels like i need to add another downtravel limiter (currently 2)...

Does anyone know the bearing sizes that are in the stock rtr 4.1 wheels and also the ones in the rear hub carriers? Are there better bearing available that are more sealed? I've gone thru quite a few bearings in the hubs and in wheels..besides the fact they need to be balanced..which is another question..

3/16 x 3/8. in the wheels and the rear hubs in the t4.1 rtr with plastic hubs.
if your going through front wheel bearings sounds like your tightening down too much on the nut, and same in the rear.
