They do, but like most of the ~5000mah or higher packs you can run into body clearance issues. I have raised my front body mount 4mm in order to clear the protec packs that I run.

Well... what are the dimensions of the Gens Ace?

I run the Orion carbon pro. Best 4 cell I have ever run in my buggy. It's a 6400mah 90c battery.

Nice...great pack, I just don't want to drop that much coin on 1 pack.

I still don't get why people run such enormous batteries in their buggies.

You only need to make 10 minutes, why not right the lightest battery you can rather than load it up with a bunch of unnecessary weight?

I run the 3700mah Reedy Wolfpack 4S's and easily make ~15 minutes on big tracks and it's about half a pound (if not more) lighter than that 6400.

From what I can gather, based on their website, I would say it is not for the .2 buggies. You would want this...
http://prolineracing.com/bodies/2012...ear-body-rc82/
which is Pt # 3363-00. Unfortunately it is out of stock I did recently send them an email asking when we can expect it to be available...will re-post when/if? I get a reply.

Edit: I just did some more searching and it appears that TH does have them in stock.

I was thinking like you for a while. I have a few of those reedy 3700 packs and was using them for racing. However... I just cant seem to get the buggy to handle as well with the lighter battery. I know it sounds weird. Should just be able to lower shock oils and/or springs and adjust the setup a bit to compensate for the lighter weight, but no matter what I do this buggy drives better with a full size 4s 5000 battery. Something about the weight lets it get better, more consistent traction. From what I have found I just cant get the lighter weight to handle as consistent. So I went back to the full size batteries. Could just be my opinion, but I know a couple other guys in my area came to the same conclusion.

By that logic the nitro buggy would never handle, because even with the lighter 4S pack the ebuggy is still heavier than the nitro buggy.

I run both at every race I attend and there's a big difference when my car is half a pound lighter than my competition.

Well, i took my buggy to the track last night and for the couple of packs that I ran through it I was very impressed. It turns so much better than my mugen did. However, I broke a rear chassis brace and my night was cut short. I have read that some people have done the same thing. Are aluminum braces the way to go?

That's cool. Im just saying that for ME it's faster a little heavier. Whatever works for you.

The AE buggy is just about the heaviest out there. The guys running mugen and X-ray and losi are all lighter than the AE. My electric 808 was running under 7lbs with the 3700 packs. And it worked fine at the lighter weight, so you aren't necessarily a half lb lighter than the competition. Just the other AE buggies. I agree in theory that lighter should be better. It just hasn't worked out that way for me on this buggy. I personally a don't care what the buggy weighs as long as I can drive it and turn good laps.

But I'll always take a battery that's half a pound lighter over one that isn't, especially when I don't need any more.
