SC10 4x4 Thread
Check the posts on the RX8 make sure none of them wobble. what track were you at daytona?
Even a 5 foot difference on a jump changes everything on the truck dramatically. The required horsepower to achieve the distance changes windspeed and thus air characteristics.
Edit: Also, forgot to mention: the entire spring debate that's been going on as of late is also very important in this on launch
I 'can not' nose down "at all" at large gaps, just like the other guys. Cameron tried my truck too. I actually gained some air control after I removed the Center diff.
Today:
I broke a fifth servo saver...
WTH??? i broke mine too last week!!
Jeff dont tune your truck for one minor chassis slap, you will suffer around the rest of the track. when you jump make a habit of landing lightly on throttle and it will keep slapping to a minimum. Also before you change oils move the lower rear shock position to the outside, reset your ride height to 24 and see how it feels, it will give you more pack.

I've never ran a pinned set-up, so I have no personal experience with it, but when it was "the hot thing", I remember people saying it reacted better in the air.
I wont touch it then. You set it up with all shocks on outside hole.
@coyote , I did notice it is how you leave the jump, when I go up I let the throttle off and it would go level.
The truck is very responsive in the air for me, too responsive. Goin to experiment with drag brake. When I tapped brakes in air, it would bring the nose down abruptly because I run a lot of brake. My truck would do anything I wanted to do, I noticed it did like to jump nose high for the most part , I think thats from the center diff , having throttle and the weight being biased more in the rear. Im.still learning the truck in its new configuration. I was giving the nitro buggys a good run, I could beat them on the straights and stay neck in neck with them in the turns until one of them would would take me out . If they couldnt drive around me theyd bash me..
Was fun, glad I got the 6000mah saddles. I need to get two more sets, I was putting back in almost 5000 mah in charge. Even with my 7 amp.chgr it was taking forever.
This truck is so much easier to drive. I saw Jason Ruona out there today and wanted to run some things by him but he left before I got to talk to him.
For whoever asked, I ran at Orange County Paintball. Daytona is a better prepped track but its 55 miles away.

I haven't tried mine since I went way up on the rear spring rate. I should...
just built some new factory team shocks, they went together really easy, but they have been sitting on my truck for about a day,and i noticed the rears are leaking really bad, this is from the car just sitting there,no run time on them yet at all....i used green slime on the bushings and even lubed the shock ends before installing them.does anyone have any advice?????
Again? I thought you fixed that!
I ll check the posts.
, the blinky lights mean low.transmitter signal from and to the receiver. I did nt charge my transmitter so I believe that was the cause. it made sense cause it was happening at end of day.
My transmitter was a little low , it charging now.
Rx8 was tempting around 123, and
4600 came off at 154. I was running and underbody. I love the speed this thing has, It really rips.
I look forward to running on the better tracks we have around here.

Where is it leaking from? Really helpful to let us know that.
-Re-check if you inserted the cartridge correctly. there is a tapered size and a square side.
-Check the shock cap to make sure you didn't eff up the bladder/o-ring.
- maybe crossthreaded, it's pretty easy to do.
- Tighten the lower to the body a little snugger
Let us know. Those FT's are bulletproof.
There are two sets of holes. Larger and Smaller. Look.
