If you take the blue off you should be good to go,maybe give them a polish before you put them in the simple green

What I wanted to know is this rtr durable and is the reedy motor that comes with it decent or would I be better off just buying the hoped up version and not waste my time and money? I do plan on racing it but not no where as much as I do my 8th scale nitro to start off with. Any suggestions and advice would be much appreciated and thanks in advance.
I did the same exact thing. I didn't have a chunk of cash to spend all at once on a kit/electronic setup. Just wanted another class to run in. Used a coupon and it was $210 and easy pay made it $70 a month. The stock tires are going to be the first thing you want to replace. They are useless. I would find out if your track will allow you to run the 3300 in 13.5 or not. I will say though, I ended up buying a B4.1 Factory Team roller later with a ton of extra goodies for $75 and swapped over all the good parts. That was 6 months ago, and now I have replaced nearly everything that came with the RTR. If you have the money to buy a used one that is race ready, then go that route. But if not, Tower makes it very easy to get your feet wet.

The REEDY3300 is very quick for someone "getting their feet wet" when gear up. As said before, tyres will be the first thing to change. Shocks are ok, for now but the V2+BB upgrade will also be next and a pinion/spur combo of around 31-33/75 should see you doing some good quick laps. The AE ESC is ready to go out of the box and you shouldnt have to adjust anything for the time being till you get used to the car and how it handles. As said before the motor is around 13.5t, and isnt allowed in stock racing, but if your local club are pretty casual, and your a beginner they will let have a run with Stock class just to get used to the speed of it. Its a great car once setup, and natural progression will see you adding new bits (factory or aftermarket) sooner than you think!

Cheers

Default Springs

Can anybody measure and tell me how much longer, if any, are the kyosho rear springs from one another?

I want to compare the
KYOW5183-72 Cobalt Blue 2.30
and
KYOW5183-60 Dark Yellow 1.97

I tried to run the dark yellow on my buggy in last nights race, but the v2 shocks couldn't get the rear to 24mm even with the collar threaded all the way down.

I plan on running it at westcoast rc so I dont know if you guys are familair with this track or what they allow. No , I dont have a lot of money to spend right now based on I'm so focused on 8th scale nitro and I'm gearing up for some big up and coming races. Thats why I'm considering going the rtr route and the 3 easy pay plan on Tower. I did consider buying a used roller that was already hopped up and race ready but then buying everything else needed will get spendy so thats not affordable for me right now. I appreciate the info so far and please keep it coming.

I dealt with by doubling up my rear shock collars. .02

don't have part #'s but you can get the chassis and the strap/hold down separate or as a combo. Separate # for each and a # for both.

http://www.teamassociated.com/parts/details/9636/

That's the kit. If you purchased it and it says that part number, contact AE and tell them.

EDIT: look at the page carefully. The kit is Part #: 9636. The Chassis is 9637. B4 +8mm Battery Strap is 9638

yeah, he has the blue turnbuckles that me made gold stripes in. One of his buddies said something about a type of liquid, wiring around it in the shape you want your colors, and a battery??

I honestly have no idea why they have 2.2 buggy tires listed, without the 4wd in the front of it. Because no Cougar fronts use a pin style rim. This is the front you should have either bought, or exchange them with(AMain is awesome about returns).

I am sorry that neither you or I looked closer, but should not be difficult to exchange!

Make sure you're using the offset spring cups in the rear. Pn 9724 I believe.

I've still got a set of those tyres (yellow) mounted on b4 front rims and haven't used them as they seem very plastic-like and are not rubber. They are no good in dusty situations really, would be more suitable for carpet or high bite surfaces.

Cheers

The guy who the post is intended for is racing on a rubber like carpet, so they should work well on his track condition!
