RC10B4.1 FT/WC
Hey guys, I just received my order for Kyosho Springs. I just picked the things closest to brown/green so I got dark yellow all the way around. The front is fine, but the back kyosho's were shorter than the green AE and now I have to use a TON of preload to get my 24mm ride height. Has anyone else had this problem? If I switched to yellow in the back would I get a different result, or would those be the same length too?

I'm looking for a good base setup for my +8 with Losi BB. Hard packed dirt, wet, outdoor. Here is a vid of my SCTE on the track. I have looked at all the setups on AE, but none of them are really descriptive of my track, and the ones that are, are so old or dont include the Losi BB or +8. Only thing I dont have tuning wise is the .o aluminum rear hubs. I have the .5, 1.0, and 1.5 though.

anyhow, everything is all good and i can't wait to get back out on the track to see what type of handling i've been missing!

I have a great deal on a Factory Team B4.1 if anyone is interested. Great car, just no time these days to race.

I searched for an hour and a half last night and couldn't find a solution to my issue.
I did the hex upgrade using the AE steering block (ASC9880), B4.1 hex front axle (ASC7496), proline clamping hexes front and rear (PRO6076-00, PRO6077-00). I'm also using JConcepts Mono 2.2 front and rear wheels (JCI3347, JCI3348).
The issue is, when I mount the wheels and try to put the 8-32 nut on, it barely threads on. The threads of the axle do not engage into the nyloc portion of the nut. So they come off easy. Is there a thinner nut people are using? Did I get a wrong part? I double checked to make sure I had the thinner hexes up front and I do.
Anyone run into this?

So, spent some time wrenching tonight on my buggy...took the tranny apart, gave it a good cleaning, clean and oiled the bearings. Added a tad of 50w shock oil to the gears and gave them a good spin. Now my gears are LOUD as hell, you can actually hear it whine down..
WTH...it was NOT like this, or anywhere close to that...
The mesh is good, pinon and spur are in very good shape. The gears inside and the ball diff are in good shape. Double checked how much i cranked down the tranny case screws, including the screws that hold the wing posts.
A tad of play in my outdrives, nothing really major, very very slight bend in my right CVD, but it doesnt sound likes its coming from there, its a very gear whiney type sound that i never had. My outdrives on my SC10 are worn a bit more and its whisper quiet, left side cvd is also slight bent on there and no noise...
Does the tranny case need some screw torque to hold the gears from vibrating or something?

Maybe the screws that hold the tranny in are set too tight? Do you see the long screw scraping the backside of the metal disk?
