Hey guys what are the advantages of running the carbon fiber top things on top of the aluminum hubs on the b4.1. Also what mount should I run the ballstuds In for a looser track.

I believe you should also shave the U-brace if switching to that setup.

It lowers your roll center at the Hub. like said above. If using them. mod the u-brace to match it.

It does add a lot of traction and can lead to push...

my Buggy pushed very bad with this setup.

I agree, most people have the common misconception that locking in rear traction can get rid of a push. Might just try a tire change first.

who would think adding rear traction would eliminate push or am I not reading that right?

Basically you are lowering the entire camber link, which I believe changes the camber change arc.

I was having this discussion with one of the local team drivers. The impression that I get is that one is not better than the other. They are different. I'm going to try the A hub and C hub on my next practice day and see if I can pin down exactly how it makes the car feel different.

Just remember as Tyler stated you need to shave the U Hub brace if you run the C Hub. After you shave the hub, if you want to run the A Tower, remember to put 2 washers under the inner ball stud (or just have 2 U braces made up, one stock, 1 shaved.)

if you lower the link on both ends, I believe you keep the roll center the same. I could be wrong. Maybe one of the AE guys that pop on now and then could confirm all of our thoughts.

Oh and it would be the opposite anyway, if you lower the ball stud, you raise the roll center and vice versa

Yeah not sure about the total roll center if dropping both studs

Inner ball stud-- lowering it rises the roll center, lifting it lowers the roll center
outer ball stud. lowering it lowers the roll center, lifting it rises the roll center.

I know doing the u-brace mod and the c tower cause my buggy to not like life at all.

Sounds like it would be ideal for a looser track.

I experienced the same with the C plates and shaved U-Brace. I believe it is best suited for the 0* hubs, and even then my car was bad. I stuck with using B44 hubs.

It has it's place/time and driving style to help.

It didn't help me. I don't really have a large traction problem with my Buggy

I did just get my HB Beam tires in and White rear springs though
