The funny thing is that all do come with a combination of 0.4 and 0.6mm while I did find out the 0.5 is working very well. Maybe playing with one more or less or more of the one than the other you can play more with the strength than with only a set of 0.5mm springs.
On the other hand, when you have found the right spring like the Shephers or the Orion square you do not change it.

Roelof, do you have a link to a seller who ships worldwide who sells these springs at a cheaper rate?

As mentioned before, any springshop/manufacturer can deliver these springs in a wide range of dimensions and materials, my supplier has the cheap ones for just 8 cent a piece and the stainless steel ones (which are better) for about 40 cents a piece. The sad thing is they do come with a minimum outside diameter of 15mm so you have to grind or cut them down to 12mm whis is easy on a lathe.

We did a lot of trial and error until we found the right way to turn the washers to the correct diameter.
These washer are very hard and you need the right tools to work on them.
Also, there are many different levels of quality available and not all of them are suited for the clutch spring.
Dremel? OMG, have fun

Regarding the price, these springs are actually cheaper than any regular coil spring, simply because they don't wear.
I ran one set the entire season in my son's 8th scale, including Euros and national championships.

Hey guys, need some advise i have ordered the Hudy conical washer kit for my Lab C02 and Lab 801 as i find the stock spring to heavy.
On the instruction it advises you the following
1/10 to use 5 x 0.6mm + 5 x 0.4mm
1/8 to use 6 x 0.6mm + 6 x 0.4mm
DO you recommend using this setting and since its a difference clutch should i tighten until i get a tread gap of around .5mm?
Thanks

These are the settings I run mine with, however I don't have the Hudy ones.

Indeed that is a good starting point. Screw it against the springs and then an half turn tension. I only have noticed that screwing more tension does not differ much. It is wise to get 2 sets so you can play with all 0.4mm discs up to all 0.6mm discs

So first run used 6 x 0.4 + 4 x 0.6 with a 0.5 clearance from flywheel. Didn't really liked the feel was like slipping and engaging a bit to late for my taste since I need a smooth launch.
Second run 7 x 0.4 + 3 x 0.6 with 0.5 clearance better than before but had to unscrew a bit.
What clearance do you use?

With the 1/10 clutch with the aluminum bell and black shoe I use 0.40 gap.
With the 1/8 clutch with the steel bell and standard red shoe I use a 0.50 gap.
For the 1/8 clutch I haven't tested a lot, I've only driven the 1/8 for one test day and one race day and I wasn't happy with the clutch settings yet.
