when you run the truck a bit, the belt will stretch and it will rotate a bit easier.
Don't expect to push the car on the table and expect to see the wheels rotate for a while , best I can get is one or two rotations of the wheels with the motor removed.
Take the belt completly off and just spin the wheels front and back with out the belt. It should be REAL free spinning. like a 2w should be. I picked up screws 2mm to long (like Cherry said) when I put it back together it would not spin free. The belt has a lot of free spin drag if you are not used to what it feels like.
If the belt & truck are new expect a little tight feeling , but the belt should rotate smooth .

How tight are the drive trains in your trucks? I am finishing the build on my truck and mine feels tight. I have loosened the transmission screws front and back, tightened them down and backed off 1/2 turn. It is not so tight that I can not turn it, it just seems tight.
Have you ran the truck yet or just finished assembly? Try running it up n down the street and see if that helps. Also if it makes a weird sound that will be a good indication that something isn't right.
I have not ran the truck yet, I am finishing the build. I have taken the front and rear transmissions apart a couple of times, I may have to do it again just in case there is something not right. Now is the time to do it because the truck is not finished.
On another note, I was putting on the rear belt cover, and it is a short shot. Part of the end that fits into the center belt cover is completely missing. I guess I will be talking to AE about that one.

There is a difference between motors (6.5 vs 7.5)Yes you can turn down your radio but now you are not using your motor to its peak performance. These motors have power bands and torque curves.

Do your homework more is not always better.

chad the scales i use are from Harbor freight and are 13.00 each (at least they were a year ago!) those batt are good, i use the Gens ace's for qualifying, they are only 25c and tame the truck making it more consistant. and in the mains i run promatch 50c (its all about getting your position right off the tone!!) www.promatchracing.com
