black spacer is suppose to be the same size , but with the extra flash it comes with ?
The fit is tighter than the white .
Then the white plastic is also a Teflon base so it is smoother than the black plastic ...

If you have switched to the plastic hubs from the B44, you wont need to change the crush tubes.
If you are running the plastic hubs from the original b4 (outer bearing is small) then yes you need a different crush tube as nhraman linked below.
Whichever you are using, if there is a grinding sound, check that the bearings themselves arent damaged and that you have the correct tube installed.

Suspension set up is something that can take a long time to get your head round..Just look at the last 100 pages of endless chat about BB springs.. Springs control your ride height.. if you fine you are bottoming out off jumps, go to a harder spring.. If your car is miles off the ground and you run on say the street, or a smooth track then you can get away with a softer spring..

Right now I have the green Associated spring in the rear. The shock collar is all the way up against the cap to get a decent ride height. If I go to a stiffer spring it will raise it up. How would I get a good right height after I put a stiffer spring in it?

In offroad, track changes are usually so frequent within the day that pack placement and individual weight placement becomes something you think about on the car ride home. "I wonder if that would have made it better if..."
You have to be a seasoned racer that turns A LOT of laps to be able to look at the track and know if moving the pack around makes a positive difference for you. IMO, i like as much battery in the car as i can get. The heavier it is, the harder i can push it...

Hey Guys,
Gave my GF a B4.1 for Christmas and we're trying to figure out what gearing to run. She just picked up a Tekin 17.5 and will race it in a stock blinky class.
I see the manual says to run 22/81 but I hear of other racers running gearing like 32/75? Just hoping someone can point us in the proper direction.
Thanks!

with 13.5 I went up to 28/75 and it was a huge difference. I would think 17.5 would be go up a couple teeth from my 13.5 gear.
