that's really cool how you can see the suspension articulate. How much did that run you?

Broke my front A-arm.

Should I get the stock replacement, the carbon version, or RPM's version?

Just use RPM unless your some high level driver. RPM is great stuff.

you know anyone racing local to you with the RPM stuff? if so, give it a look first before you buy. You may not be happy with how much it flexes for racing purposes.

If you decide then you don't want the RPM arms, go with the stock replacement as carbon is more rigid and will just break easier. AE had an article on the difference at one time.

Thanks! The stuff I picked up yesterday at Hobby Town is way too stiff. It's more a limiter than a bump stop. I'll order this stuff up with my next order...I appreciate the help,

How'd you mount it to the car? I'd like to do this to see what I need to do to my suspension.

I would if I wasnt stuck at my in-laws on the other side of the country. But I can discribe it.

Transponder is taped on top of the servo, both wires are run along the battery tray ( on the out side) to the RX which is standing on its side against the battery troff. Antenna comes out of the antenna hole like normal. My ESC is mounted in the center behind the battery. I have 3 lead chuncks on the left side to balance the Rx weight.

Every thing is centered. I am about 3 grams off left to right weight.

Nice, I want to mount my ESC in the battery tray as well, I just don't know if the FT battery strap will fit, I am running the Viper VTX10, so it's pretty small, do you put anything between the ESC and the battery to keep them from hitting each other

I accualy still run the standard battery hold down. It has tabs on the bottom to keep the battery from sliding back against the speedo and one foamy in the front holds it tight. The only mod is that I had to bore holes where the bullets go into the battery but its in a thick part of the strap and I am not worried about it breaking.
I really havent felt the need to get the FT strap but I dont think it will work as it slides under the rear bulkhead for security ( I believe). I wonder if you chopped it down in the back, if it would still hold on by the thumb screws?
I will post pics when I get back to VA. Im in AZ for the hollidays.

Chris,

I mounted it right on the top of the battery holder.

I use a small peice of battery foam between ESC and lipo, but I try to keep my lipo as close to the ESC as possible. The RS RX box is worth it.

Default rc10 rtr

Did some searching on here and it seems everyone got the rtr fs truck. Now at our local track they immediately move you to modified once you go brushless. I just bought this truck Associated Associated SC10 RTR Combos

Now I am just waiting for it to arrive and I would like some advice on how to keep this truck stock and compete. GPMRA gpmra.com These are the rules for our track and shows what the limits are for it. So any advice you guys can give me on keeping the truck competitive and what things need to be upgraded to keep the truck tough enough to play with the boat load of Slash's that race there would be appreciated.

The rules say you can use any stock tires. From what I have been reading, the losi SC truck has the nicest stock tires. Get the nice tires, F/R spring kits, shock oil, and a decent lipo (25c or higher discharge rate). This class is all about driving, you will not achieve any significant advantages with your truck setup.
