Thanks for the info Mac The Knife.
Maybe you should put on page one an outline of whats on what page, that way the new ppl know where to look. I know that searching and reading is difficult.
Sample...
Clutch basket. Pages 854,867-872
Shocks.....
Brace....
And etc.

Then when ppl ask questions, they will have some idea of what's going on if they ask.

Thanks

Imagine having a "long" discussion w/ a large group of people. New people are joining the discussion all the time, some come to the discussion w/ some research behind them and start to get involved.

Others, basically run into the middle of the group and yell out," What do I do", most people ignore them, due to the lack of research done, or others will tell them to go search and come back.

Why would anyone read over the older pages? Because that's were the answers are. More importantly, while reading the older pages, you can figure who on the board is good and who isn't, who races a track similiar to yours, and who's running a similiar combo as yours.

Thank you Veg. The regulars?: Have seen this song and dance already. Remember Highschool? Moving to chapter 4? Then the classmate goes "Hey.. I have a question?" And it's a question from chapter 1 that takes the entire class back to that chapter just to explain it for one person cause he/she wasn't paying attention.

Contrary to my Highschool days? You have a Search Function. No matter how much I pressed down on the paper page in Highschool... The info I wanted just.... wouldn't.... appear! Gah! annoying!

We're glad to answer questions for people who have their question answered and they don't understand the "answer given". But why is there a thread 800 pages long if it's "ok" not to use them to answer your own questions? Why not auto-delete after 10 pages to keep it clean?: Because then we'd still be at chapter 1 or 2 with this truck. Not being able to move on to "Chapter" 3.

I love new people getting this truck. I love people who have enough respect to honor the time everyone's put in to at least "trying" to find the information themselves instead of being bottle-fed; more. Look at the big posts with very specific answers when people state they've read whole/most/searched the thread. These guys bend over for them. Because they tried. So there ya go.

This is the sole opinion of CoyoteSlash and subsidiaries. Please do not copy, write, or re-write any copywritten information for personal gain, or in any way to be a butt-hole.

I am personally going to ignore any post requesting such questions as "what slipper mod?" or "wats gud upgrades". Because those are disrespectful imo, and i'll just flame if I respond. SO! Let's get back to you guys being wrong about the Exotek chasiss, Shall we?

I'm heading back to the track for the first time in almost 3 months! oooooooooooooooooh my god I'm going to be ashamed when I leave after the day.

The first page of this post needs to be updated. It would prevent so many people from asking the same questions over and over again. While it is helpful, it really doesn't do a good job outlining the current issues that people are working to address. I'd do it myself, but I honestly don't know enough about the truck yet to do a good job on it.

Some of you that get sand in your panties about people asking questions should update it so you won't continue to get upset when new folks dare inquire about what to do with the truck.

A lot of folks are thankful that some of you have invested so much time and effort in the car and figuring out what works. However, the know it all attitude that is displayed in this thread doesn't help new people who are trying to figure out where to spend their money. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if sales haven't been lost because arrogance in the thread.

The SC10 is a lot more intimidating relative to the Losi. The belt drive, slipper, clicker, etc. It is not very intuitive for many newer hobbyist and even some of us experienced guys who come from 1/8th. Yes, people can search, but often times people don't even know what the hell they are searching for or why. Yes, you can learn by reading, but again, it isn't realistic to expect that everyone has time to read all 800 pages in this thread. Some will eventually get around to it, but most folks are not nearly as into it as many of the regulars on this thread so you can't expect the same level of commitment.

This thread reminds me of the hardcore racers at the track who often times scare away new guys. New guy shows up and can't get anyone to help him or talk to him because he isn't part of the local clique. Someone ask for help on how to get started racing or fix his car and instead of helping the guy, they instead throw a ROAR rule book at them.

I agree the first page could use some work.

I love to see new guys at the track w/ the truck, I'm always happy to help if I can. More trucks in the class means multiple mains.

Default exotek chassis

Is anyone adding more weight with the LCG chassis? Or is it good by itself. If so where?

Hey guys i had a chance to wheel a RTR the other day. it actually felt decent but if any of you run into someone at the track PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE get them to swap the servo. It had to be the slowest servo i have ever felt and it made it pretty hard to navigate around the track and this is not what we need on this truck!! you could actually turn the wheel and watch the servo go to its endpoint!! and there is no adjustment on the radio to compensate for it enough to make a difference. maybe a better radio woudl help but most who buy this truck will not want to invest 200 more on a radio but 40 bux on a 645hg will do wonders.

No, unless you need them to balance the chassis, and that depends on your choice of electronics.

I hear you Edumakated.
