Front and rear part numbers are posted in this tread. I know for a fact cause I posted them.
Just look back and look for them.

What secrets do you think they are keeping? Buggy is the most competitive class at Mikes and usually has the top drivers. Sometimes they look fast because they are amazing drivers.

If you are serious about wanting help, post on mike's forum.
I am having issues finding the right gear for my B4.1 using the 17.5. I had thought that with it being the stock 17.5 blinky class that we all should have been about the same, taking driving out of the equation. I suck at driving, and know this, but when someone using the same motor as me blows by me and clears the two doubles like it's nothing, I figured it had to be gearing. I just asked a couple guys and both said it;s a "secret". So I just didn't understand why it had to be that way. I am not asking for the holy grail, just a simple gearing. I know that even if we both had identical cars he would still beat me.

Motor timing? Gearing? I'm at 29/75 with a 17.5 and it comes off at 102F after 6 mins.

Like you I also have trouble with the Double Double but it can be done. I noticed in the first heat, the winner never attempted the double and won it with a Double, Single Single.

As Kyle mentioned, check with Pops (aka Larry). He has been very helpful with me as well. Which 17.5 motor are you running? In the 17.5 class, timing (boost) in the ESC is ILLEGAL but you can add timing to the end of the motor.

I will have to get back with you about my gearing later or shoot me a PM and i will be happy to share my setups.

I am running the Trinity D3. I know it's all a learning process. Just gets frustrating, but that's why I love this hobby. All about learning and getting better.

What's the impact of changing the spur from 81 to 84 while leaving the pinion the same (at 22t)? more top end, loss of bottom end?

Default Complete Tool List

I've been searching around for the answer to this and can't seem to find it. I think maybe my search terms need refining, but I'll post in here since I'm sure someone knows.

I'd like to buy a complete set of tools for my new T4.1. I've been looking for a list of drivers the vehicle uses, but can't find one. Also checked my manual and I'm not seeing a complete list. Can someone here please lit all the hex and nut sizes the truck uses so I can purchase the correct set. Thanks in advance!

if you keep all other gears the same, changing from a smaller spur to a larger spur will result in lower top end, but quicker spool up (aka simulated tourqe). Changing your spur gear is more of a fine tuning gearing adjustment. To be honest, I think when I was running, I put 1 spur on and never changed it unless it was worn.

a little less top a little less temps a little more bottom but you may not even see it much, pinion's make a huge change while spur gears fine tune it
