Default exo saddle mount

Looks purdy , shit cheap even...... but ....... seems like only one way to run it. All the way forward or back as it uses the chasis as a back suppot for the lipos to secure against. not much tuning or adjustment options.

This is total first look rambling of a old slow guy at midnight. Maybe they have done enough testing with the new whammy mega bling chasis ( yeah i want one , but cant justify 100 bucks, as 100 in track fees will probably make me faster than the chasis will) and that is the optimum set up , but I know with my mantis work mount (that has the capability of fore and aft movement with no extra holes drilled ) i will move placement of packs in different locations for steering tuning

Like i said it sure is purdy and makes that fancy center look even fancier

with the exotek chassis not only does the chassis have no flex but the belt tunnel as well has no flex, stays straight and true, with the original chassis with no brace i could see the belt tunnel flexing outwards, since having the new chassis the tunnel has stayed straight. for those not wanting to fork the 100 bucks out, go with a chassis brace, those of us who did fork out the 100 are also not only using it for the brace but the extra added weight vs using lead weights.

I said that exact same thing in an argument over this chassis.

I think the alu exotek chassis is only good in very high grip situations.
a car needs a bit of flex when you are running it on mid/low grip tracks.
The original plastic chassis had a bit to much flex, but can be easily taken care of with a chassisbrace

you guys crack me up. someone asks if the exotek chassis needs the chassis brace, and the only ones who says yes are the guys who dont have nor have tried the exotek chassis

let me put it this way, NNNOOOOO, you dont need the chassis brace. and to all the speculators, the exotek chassis has me with traction in ALL track conditions that i have encountered. take this as empirical data, not speculative,

I really hope you didn't include me in that statement.

when a track has lower traction, you want your truck to be a bit more flexible,

tis alu chassis piece will give more traction for sure but mostly becouse it lowers the cog not becouse it makes the truck stiffer

I agree!! That is why I have not bought one yet. I was waiting to see what mount they were using, and if it was interchangeable. Don't feel like drilling up a $100 piece right after I install it.

Think I'll just stick with my Mantis mount, and brace for now. I do like the extra weight of the exoteck, but I can't justify it "yet".

Many claim exotec aluminum chassis is the way to go...so there is an aluminum upgrade that it "needs".

Personally still running the original original plastic everywhere and it is holding up to the abuse, except for the suspension arms....those bend like wet spaghetti...but no aluminum options for those that I have seen....
