Heres my chassis brace, sorry about the crappy pics. 1/8" x 1/2" alum flat bar and aluminum little screw thing's. removed esc tray and reciver box, had to cut most of the "chassis brace" from the rear bulk going down to the center chassis piece to get the battery close to the center. I dont have scales so it might be a bit off. Im just "make to the track when I can" guy so it doesnt have to be perfect to get the job done. I noticed the truck always wanted to roll over to the right, which inspired this mod. Last race I came down off a jump hard on the nose and crippled my truck to where it wouldnt move, found out the belt twisted and bound up, this brace should keep that from happening again.

They (being AE team drivers) have been winning races with them.

Is anyone running the chassis brace with the Exotek chassis? Is it needed?

I'm planning on ordering one this weekend.

From the looks of it, it doesn't look like it (exotek) will help with horizontal chassis flex. My chassis flex's at the front and back of center section. I think the brace will be needed.

There is NO need to run a chassis brace with exotek chassis....it'd be like wearing a belt and suspenders.

Default hey noser

Hey Jockey

What set up you running in regards to shock oils and springs and ride height. you need to make some changes especially in oil weights to compesate for theose 2 stage pistons.

Once you get it dialed in the the g-discs and 2 stages you will be AMAZED.

Your question is very vague.

The general answer is Yes.

Edit: I use the 2400kv 1415 Castle running 2S because honestly, I think 3S is Stupid. (and I mean that in the most generalized disrespectful way. not personal.) I can pass 8th scalers on the straights and obviously around the corners. Losi's with Mamba Monsters on 3S I can pace and take them handily with my 2400kv, 58/22 gearing 2S. A 'stock' Losi could see use of a 3S due to it's 'like a brick' weight. This truck is so nimble and light, the 3S is downright overkill. (and not the 'cool' overkill)

3S is pointless if you know how to drive.

IMO the chassis brace is a belt tension stability tool. I have no idea if you need one with the Exotek chassis or not.

My gut instinct is you still will.

They're swearing it's a Sheet of Concrete now with the Exotech. It doesn't bother 'me' being the chassis brace guy, cause I was only helping out against a certain someone. I think that it sure does a good job but shrug, I won't know myself without getting one, and we all know that's not happening.

But it was giving me something to do on these lonely nights! /eagles
