My plus 4 runs its best at 275 to 290, its a dog under 250. Just the way they run. Good smoke, good idle (at all points of the fuel level) no stalls, no burned out plugs you are good to go!

That's pretty punchy on the bottom end, (fine for smaller tracks or medium tracks with jumps out of corners) I like the 2096/41021 combo for 5 ports for medium to larger tracks

both my 7 and 7r and 7 eco didn't need shims for the diffs until the first rebuild, then I shimmed them away from the pinion to free up the mesh even more. 1 shim only.

IMHO, Normal break in, nice and easy creeping up to a race tune is the best. Takes about 3/4 of a gallon, some time and restraint but you will be rewarded with an engine that lasts and keeps running...
