I remember reading some kind of formula to calculate the spring weight. Something like (number of active coils) x (inner diameter of wire)(outer diameter of wire).

The first number is the number of active coils(full coils) and the second number is the outer diameter of the wire(in certain cases this is after the paint has been sprayed on the pastel colored...
