6000mah - seem to be a good size Lipo, balanced between giving enough juice and good weight balance of car.
Plenty of brands around - possibly better to go for an affordable brand - R1wurks, SMC etc...

It might depend on popularity of racing classes in the drivers area.
In Australia it is difficult to find enough 1/12 pancar racers - so the choice is easy.
Either way - I would choose - 1/10...

I really enjoyed running the long track - enjoyed it more than the SSF layout. Running in stock seems to give the opportunity for close fun racing. I can't wait for my next chance to have another run...
