I would recalibrate you radio and esc. Make sure epa on radio is set to 100. The default for the pico is 100% brake. Mine has great brakes

are you sure it isn't the receiver causing the problem? I would consider that before the transmitter. Try rebinding the TX and RX and make sure your antenna on the RX is ok, and routed properly.

it will work fine the way you have it now. Just remember to select the right model when switch cars, because of other setting specifics to each model such as servo direction, epa, trim settings etc...
