Mine is in the 1.2~1.4 range after a 30 amp discharge and a 20 amp charge. This was recommended to me by Mr.R1 himself at Tamiya track.

Just cut the savox motor shaft or stack a bunch of motor shims, but that will change balance of chassis, unless u have a huge battery. My 07 with R1 motor has same clearance as FMW's image.
