Thanks for clearing everything up for the GT class. Personally I don't think a 7 or a 9 port has an advantage in the GT class. Sure a 7 0r 9 port has a better top end but a 5 port makes up for it...

It's my understanding that Thursday is just practice and they will have two qualifiers on Friday after 1pm and four qualifiers on Saturday with the mains on Sunday. Basically a lot of racing!!!

The ride height does change but it's due to the warp of the arms that is removed when you install the braces. More than likely you will see you ride height increase a little as the arms straighten...
