I've worked with the mugen tool set for a while and they are amazing but pricey. The Hudy and Kyosho are also very good too. All these tool sets are on the expensive side but very light when you carry them around.

Depends on what you are looking for.

Something to get the job done? All the tools mentioned will work.

Tools that are light (sooner or later all your RC equipment add up and can weigh a ton) and you can keep for a long time? Then maybe you have spend a little extra on tools.

I would go to my local track and ask someone if you can use their tools and check out as many as possible.

MIP tips are awesome, hate the skinny plastic handles.
Hudy expensive and wear out fast, don't believe the hype.
Dynamite last long with good handles, but they seem kind of short.

So far RD Logics seem like the perfect wrench except for the horrible colors.

info.. is their a tool set that is complete for any application. Id say No.. its what you need tool kit..
I started out with a $8 set of allens from harbor freight..mm/sae
added 3 screw drivers .pliers hemos.Split ring pliers.(great for ball caps) bought a pair of small vera grips with rubber teeth protectors (used 4 shock shafts ).made my own turn buckle wrenches as I needed many different sizes..(simple alluminum rod cut the slit i need with a good die grinder)..

In my needs I have seen alot of guys with tool sets and they always have the odd ball tools in their sets none are 100% complete and used ..

So im saying is.. their is no ultimate tool set.. Its the set u put together that suits your needs.. weather its the dollar store screw drivers..or Top dollar Hudy sets.. buy what u need .

I beg to differ, but it looks like the OP got what he wanted.

I used the dynamites for a couple of years, and they were just fine! I recently had a hole burning in my pocket, and bought the team losi aluminum handled metric hex set, and Love them! I think I paid $40 for the set of 4, I also bought the associated all in one hex driver kit with the blue handle and really like that set as well!

Default Wiha!

I have standard (SAE & Metric) screwdrivers, Torx drivers, and now Hex drivers from Willi Hahn GmbH, more popularly known as "Wiha." Unmatched, German-made quality. I recommend them without reservation. Unless something you're looking at is made in America, Japan, or Germany, you won't find anything approaching equal. Most of the "precision" tool sets are made in China, and while China does makes some nice stuff, most of it, well, you know.

Wiha has a wide-variety of tools, and you can probably put together a complete or near-complete set by browsing their catalog.

Best hex driver set I've used were Dynamite. Best Value Screwdrivers & Nut Drivers IMO are Craftsman. Lifetime warenty and if one breaks, take it to sears and replace it free no questions asked

Here are what I use:
Nut Drivers

Those Nutdrivers... Yes they are of high quality, with a great warranty! No they will not reach into every place you need them to.... They have very thick shafts, and the steel around the tip is very thick walled as well, I am surprised you haven't run into issues these yet... These are ideally made for full size cars...

Those screwdrivers.... Don't those tiny handles wear your hands and wrists out?

Not really.

As far as the nut drivers go, I've never had any issues with them.
