Just want to take a moment to misrepresent myself. I'm a disabled vet who had to retire early from the workforce. Physical therapist insisted that I take up a hobby that would help maintain fine motor skills. Several $$$K later and here we are.
Enjoying the hobby with my 13 year old daughter. We race both SC and oval.

i too have been out of the game for a number of years and recently answered the siren's call when i found a beat up T4 for $50. rebuilding it has been a pleasure and i think ive ended up with a fairly decent budget build. looking to hit the track eventually, but im having fun tearing it up at the highschool behind my house.

Hello from SE Michigan. New here and just wanted to say hello. I haven't really been into RC (not by choice) just for financial reasons, but a few years ago I started collecting vintage Kyosho 1:10 off-road buggies. This brought me back into the hobby. All these beautiful buggies and nothing to play with So I received a large lot of vintage RC10 parts and building a few runners for my daughter and I. If anyone is also into vintage collecting, check out my albums. I would love to hear from you

Similar, did stadium trucks 20 years ago, life got busy other hobbies etc. blew the dust off the old 10T and GT and terrorizing the neighbor kids again. Amazed at the changes in electric technology

Hello - Returning RC driver
Hello all - Name is Jason. Just recently got back into RC after buying my 7yr old a cheap Hobbypeople truck. Bought myself a brushless DHK Hunter and was hooked. Now I have a Tekno SCT410.3 in the mail and a Futaba PK4. Getting expensive now, but having a blast. Even the cheaper stuff is much better than what I had in the late 80's early 90's. Last RC car/truck before recently was 88-89 Losi JrX2. Before that Tamiya Falcon and Lunchbox.
In any event, any cheap tools worth investing in (dremel, solder, wrenches, etc)? And where to get the appropriate tools? I only have basic phillips tools, an allen wrench and a drill that my wife threw away because she said it broke (then threw away all the drill bits!!) Cheers !

My last RC car was an RC10 from what seems like 100 years ago! Someone bought my son a pretty wicked RC truck for his birthday which quickly sparked my interest. Things are different now and I'm doing my research trying to figure it all out.
