Unhappy just new to elctric trucks

used to have a nitro got away from them just a pain to work on ,etc. watched a video online on a review on a truck i orderd (hpi blitz) and they talked about water dipping to break in the motor not sure what to do? if i could get info would be great and help. Also ordered a duratrax evader for my 9yr old son who never drove a rc so hope we can enjoy tham together.

We used to water dip brushed motors about 10 years ago. If it is brushless just run it. If brushed just go at low speed for about a min or two.

Stock motors are pretty cheap and almost considered disposable these days. You'd prob benefit more from keeping it cleaned and lubed.

Thats proabably the best way to maintain the brushed motors. And when they completely wear out just replace them.
