Default Are 27Am and 40AM compatible?

Hi
I have an old monster beetle with a 27Am receiver in it, and I bought a new futaba attack 40AM radio set for another car.
Is there any reason why I cannot put the 40 crystal in the beetle and use it with the 27AM receiver, or do I need another 40AM receiver?
The original Acoms Tx has died.
Also will Acoms servo work OK with a futaba receiver?
Thanks!

Nope you can't put the 40Mhz crystal into the 27Mhz receiver , you'll need to get a receiver on the 40Mhz band. You can't mix and match crystals on different frequency bands.

Most servos nowadays will pretty much work with any receiver , providing they aren't using the old connectors , but it's pretty much standardized now , so it shouldn't be a problem.
