Default Why are rear wheels not wider than the fronts?

Hey, new guy here. So I ordered an AK 787 (mazda 787b) brushless car and was wondering why do rc manufacturers produce cars with the same diameter wheels all around as opposed to wider rear wheels like it’s real life counterpart? Is this due to save money on materials? Or a stability issue?

Usually it's because many RC cars are 4WD while the real race cars they are being modeled after are only RWD. RWD RC cars usually do have wider rear tires than fronts.

You mentioned two factors in your thread that do make sense. Using the same diameter wheels all around should reduce production costs and simplify inventory. This setup also provides balanced handling and stability, making the car easier to control.
